Introduction to Project Management

This beginner-level PMP® certification course introduces students to the fundamental principles and foundational concepts of project management. The curriculum begins with a comprehensive overview of project management, covering essential terminology, concepts, and the role of projects within organizational contexts. Students learn about the core project management foundation, including key frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that form the basis of successful project delivery. The course explores project life cycles and organizational structures, helping participants understand how projects progress through various phases and how they fit within different business environments and governance models. Students also gain insight into the fundamental project management processes, learning about the five process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing) and how they work together to ensure project success. This foundational level provides the essential knowledge and terminology needed to progress to more advanced project management concepts and prepares students for the intermediate and advanced levels of the PMP® certification program.
